Boston-based developer Berenson Associates yesterday broke ground on a $45 million Freeport retail center that will become the permanent home of L.L.Bean’s factory outlet store.
The 118,000-square-foot Freeport Village Station, on the site of L.L.Bean’s former factory store, will also house Calvin Klein, IZOD, Van Heusen and Geoffrey Beane stores, and include a free 500-space parking garage. The retail center is scheduled to open in the spring of 2009, according to the Portland Press Herald.
