ConvenientMD, a Portsmouth, NH.-based operator of 51 urgent care clinics across Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts, has awarded $20,000 in scholarships to 11 graduating high school seniors planning to pursue higher education in health care-related fields.
The annual scholarship program supports students planning careers in health care and is part of ConvenientMD’s effort to help build the region’s future workforce.
More than 500 applications were submitted and reviewed by a committee of ConvenientMD employees. Six students received $2,500 scholarships. Another five received $1,000 scholarships. (Scroll down for the full winners list.)
“The dedication and compassion demonstrated by this year’s applicants give us great confidence in the future of healthcare across New England. We are proud to support these students as they take the next step in their educational journeys,” said Ray Wahl, CEO of ConvenientMD.
Since launching the scholarship program in 2022, ConvenientMD has awarded more than $76,000 to students pursuing careers in health care.
This year’s scholarship recipients include three from Maine.
