Brunswick-based Gelato Fiasco has purchased two buildings in Brunswick that will accommodate the company’s effort to expand its wholesale operations nationally.
Company co-founder Joshua Davis told The Forecaster the company’s wholesale division now serves around 300 grocery stores, restaurants and cafes in the Northeast and grew by around 40% in the last year.
Currently, the company produces all of the gelato for its wholesale operation in its flagship location on Brunswick’s Maine Street.
The expansion will move some production and office space to two buildings on Industry Road, a move Davis said will likely add more workers to the nearly 50-employee company.
