Greater Portland Health

2020 Goals

Our vision is a healthy community in which everyone has access to integrated, culturally inclusive, affordable, and high-quality health care services promoting physical and emotional wellness. Our goals include…

  • Goal 1: Continue to be recognized as a practice that provides exceptional clinical care.
  • Goal 2: Continue to invest in our team and expanding access in the communities we serve.
  • Goal 3: Grow and strengthen community partnerships in support of our mission.
  • Goal 4: Be well known within the organization and in the community as an exceptional place to work.

Who We Are

Greater Portland Health is a community health center with nine health center locations, including one health care for the homeless program, two public housing sites, four school-based health centers, and 11 mobile preventative dental hygiene services in all Portland public schools serving over 12,000 patients from pediatric to geriatric.

Our services include: medical, behavioral health, oral health, substance use treatment, chronic and infectious disease management, and psychiatric services.

We are committed to ensuring all members of our community have access to health services regardless of their ability to pay. Greater Portland Health offers a sliding fee scale program and we accept Medicaid, Medicare and commercial insurances.

Fundraising events/Opportunities

Greater Portland Health will be participating in the Maine Marathon on October 6th in Portland. Runners have the opportunity to fundraise on behalf of Greater Portland Health and individual donations may be made on the race site. Visit www.mainemarathon.com to learn more.

This year marks our 10th anniversary, and we will be hosting an anniversary celebration in the fall. In addition, we participate in various events in the community throughout the year. Please follow along on our social media pages.
