Gov. John Baldacci has nominated four members of his administration for top financial and regulatory roles in the state government.
- Jack Cashman, currently Baldacci’s senior economic adviser and former commissioner of the Department of Economic and Community Devlopment, was nominated as a member of the Public Utilities Commission.
- Rebecca Wyke, currently the commissioner of the Department of Administrative and Financial Services, was nominated to replace John Witherspoon as CEO of the Finance Authority of Maine.
- Ryan Low, the governor’s current deputy chief of staff, was nominated to replace Wyke as commissioner of DAFS.
- Anne Head, currently acting commissioner of the Department of Professional and Financial Regulation, was nominated to become full commissioner of the department.
The state Senate plans to hold a session on Aug. 20 to confirm Baldacci’s nominations, according to the release.
