Greg Dugal, the president and CEO of the Maine Restaurant Association and Maine Innkeepers Association, has announced his resignation from the organizations.
Dugal told the Portland Press Herald that a long career, combined with the added workload following the resignation last fall of the COO of Hospitality Association Management Services — the management group of the two organizations — led to his decision to step down.
“I’ve been working 70 to 80 hours a week since I was in my early 20s, and at a certain point you step back and look at life and decide you’d like to enjoy more of it,” Dugal told the Press Herald.
According to the Press Herald, the search for Dugal’s replacement is underway.
