Heating oil prices in the state of Maine have fallen slightly as residents prepare for what the Farmers’ Almanac says will be an “ice cold and snow-filled” in the Northeast.
According to the latest heating fuel price survey by the Governor’s Energy Office, the current statewide average price for heating oil dropped by two cents from a month ago to $1.87 per gallon. Propane experienced a similar drop in price, falling by two cents to $2.15 per gallon.
Kerosene prices in the state also fell by one cent to $2.41 per gallon.
