One thing that didn’t change in 2020 is that people wanted to read about real estate.
The four most-read real estate stories at Mainebiz were also among last year’s top five stories in overall website readership. The top 10 real estate stories, many from our twice-weekly Real Estate Insider newsletter, were among the overall top 26.
It’s no surprise that the most-read real estate articles are all “good news” — success stories, big acquisitions, big investments, the always popular “hottest Maine towns” and more. There was a lot of bad news in 2020, but the popularity of positive real estate articles is an indication that the industry was a bright light in a year that many are happy to put behind them.
