Home sales are up from this time last year, according to statewide figures from the Maine Association of Realtors.
According to a press release, Maine home sales are up 8.48% in comparison with September of last year. Sales in Maine for September 2011 were similarly over 2010 by 8%.
The National Association of Realtors has reported a similar rise in home sales across the country, at a 10.8% increase.
While the median sale prices increased in Maine 6.92% to a price of $170,000, the national median increased 11.4% to $184,300.
