Lone Pine Brewing Co., the Portland-based maker of Portland Pale Ale and Brightside IPA, is set to open its Gorham tasting room on April 13.
The craft brewery, founded by Tom Madden and Jon Paul in 2016, was recently named on the Brewers Association list of the country’s 50 fastest-growing independent craft brewers by volume. Lone Pine was No. 5 on the list.
By Monday, Lone Pine will have 25 employees in Gorham, including a recently opened production facility.
Lone Pine, which already has a tasting room in Portland, took to social media on Thursday to share the date for the Gorham tasting room opening “after a long process of planning, build-out and permits.”
A spokeswoman shared further details with Mainebiz by email, saying that there will be indoor and outdoor seating, two food trucks — Mami and Tacos Del Seoul — and 16 beers will be on tap. Madden will also give brewhouse tours.
In a February interview with Mainebiz in Gorham, Madden said, “We will always have a presence in Portland, but there will be a different energy here, which is really the idea for a Gorham tasting room.”
Paul added that “in Portland, we’re usually one of five, six stops in someone’s day when they’re exploring the whole scene in general. Here, people will be coming through the door to see what Lone Pine is all about.”
The Gorham tasting room will be open from noon until 8 p.m. on April 13.
