Maine restaurateur and cookbook author Erin French will visit Portland's State Theatre on Oct. 11 to promote the release of her latest cookbook, "The Lost Kitchen: Seize the Supper."
Presented by Print: A Bookstore and the State Theatre, the event will include a conversation between French, a self-taught chef and owner of the Lost Kitchen restaurant in Freedom, and actress Abby Elliott. The actress is best known for playing Natalie "Sugar" Berzatto on "The Bear," FX's award-winning series set in Chicago.
Tickets are $50 and $75 and include a signed copy of French's cookbook.
About the book
"Seize the Supper" is the third cookbook from French, who owns the Lost Kitchen in the Waldo County town of Freedom and will feature seasonal recipes designed for gathering with recipes ranging from main dishes, salads, sides and desserts.
French has become nationally known for the Lost Kitchen, a restaurant that has drawn attention for its intimate setting, seasonal Maine cooking and unusual reservation system, where diners mail postcards in the hope of being selected for a table.
French is also the author of "Finding Freedom," "The Lost Kitchen" and Big Heart Little Stove." The restaurant was featured in a Magnolia Network series.
