LURC sets public workshops

Maine land-use regulators are asking residents for help drafting a comprehensive plan for the state’s unorganized territories.

The Land Use Regulation Commission recently said it is seeking public input as it finalizes its 2008 Comprehensive Land Use Plan, according to the Sun Journal in Lewiston. The public comment phase is step two of the three-step process of developing the plan for Maine’s roughly 10.5 million acres of unorganized territories.

LURC will hold public workshops beginning April 27 in Fort Kent. The full schedule can be found here.
