Nearly 75,000 Mainers have signed up for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act, a 69% increase from the more than 44,000 who signed up last year.
The Portland Press Herald reported that 89% of enrolled Mainers were eligible for a tax credit averaging $337 a month, a single percent decrease from last year.
About 11.4 million people nationwide have enrolled this year, an increase from roughly 8 million in 2014. This year’s figure is currently missing numbers from 11 states.
