🔒Maine Affordable Housing Coalition adds partnerships director

Emmy Ham is joining the Maine Affordable Housing Coalition as the Portland-based nonprofit’s first partnerships and coalition director. With grant support, this new role will help the organization expand statewide education and membership engagement efforts as Maine works to address its housing shortage. Ham began her career at Portland-based Avesta Housing, where she helped people find housing and gained experience in issues related to economic and community development.

Since then, she has served in leadership and organizational roles focused on advancing housing policy and building strong collaborative partnerships. Ham has a master's degree in public administration from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, in California. Ham has served in various leadership and organizational roles from California to New England, all focused on addressing affordable housing. The Maine Affordable Housing Coalition is adding to its leadership team as the state works towards a goal of creating more than 80,000 homes by 2030.
