Maine Community Bank has appointed Travis Hersom as chief information officer to lead its technology and cybersecurity strategy.
Hersom will oversee the bank’s IT strategy, including systems platforms and investments supporting operations and customer service. He will also focus on improving operational efficiency and strengthening the bank’s digital and cybersecurity infrastructure.

He joins Maine Community Bank after seven years with Baker Newman Noyes, a Portland-based accounting firm, where he also served a chief information officer.
Hersom brings more than 25 years of experience in technology strategy, infrastructure, cybersecurity, business intelligence and enterprise systems across financial services, health care and professional service industries.
