Maine Connectivity Authority will host its fourth annual Digital Opportunity Workshop this Friday, Oct. 2, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at SeniorsPlus in Lewiston.
The session will bring together digital opportunity practitioners, nonprofit leaders, and municipal and regional staff from across the state to strengthen implementation, encourage shared learning and build momentum as new funding opportunities become available.
The workshop is open to organizations and community members involved in digital opportunity work and is designed to advance Maine’s digital opportunity ecosystem by providing space for alignment and collaboration.
Maine Connectivity Authority will also honor the recipients of its Digital Resilience Grant Program, awarding a total of $311,761 to seven projects designed to help Maine residents navigate the digital world while reducing their exposure to cyber threats, fraud and misinformation.
This year’s grant recipients are Aroostook County Action Program, Coastal Enterprises Inc., give IT. get IT., McArthur Library, Millinocket Memorial Library, Somerset Economic Development Corporation, and Sunrise County Economic Council.
“At a time when online scams are multiplying and AI is changing the world on a daily basis, it’s essential that Maine organizations work together toward ensuring Maine people can stay safe and reap the benefits of expanding internet access and technology,” said Jessica Perez, digital opportunity senior manager, Maine Connectivity Authority.

“These Digital Resilience grantees are doing exactly that work in communities across the state, and we’re proud to recognize them alongside the partners who make this network so strong,”
More details on the Oct. 2 workshop can be found on the MCA website.
