The annual Trek Across Maine raised $750,000 for the American Lung Association, with the ride winding up on Sunday. More than 1,000 cyclists participated in the 180-mile journey.
Along the way, athletes stayed overnight at Bates College in Lewiston and Saint Joseph’s College of Maine in Standish.
The annual fundraiser, in its 42nd year, started and finished at Pineland Farms in New Gloucester.
Funds raised support the American Lung Association’s mission to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease through research, education and advocacy. More than 240,000 Maine residents and 35 million Americans live with lung disease. Since 1985, the Trek  Across Maine has raised more than $32 million.
