Maine Lobster Marketing Collaborative appoints 7 new board members

The Maine Lobster Marketing Collaborative has appointed seven members to its board of directors for the 2026-27 term and named a new chair.

The new board members include lobstermen, seafood dealers and members of the public.

The lobstermen are Brian Billings, Matt Gilley (also elected vice chair) and Abe Philbrook (elected treasurer).

The others are Meaghan Dillon of Luke’s Lobster, John Petersdorf of Bean Maine Lobster, Cameron Dyment of Cousins Maine Lobster and Elizabeth Horton of Simmer Public Relations.

Returning board member Curt Brown, owner of Bold Coast Seafood, was elected chair during the board’s first meeting.

Lobsterman Jordan Drouin also continues to serve on the board. Jeff Nichols, communications director of the Maine Department of Marine Resources, will serve as secretary in an ex officio role. Commissioner Carl Wilson made the appointments.

Under Maine law, lobsterman representatives are nominated by the state’s lobster zone councils, while dealer and public members are nominated by the commissioner of the Maine Department of Marine Resources.

The Maine Lobster Marketing Collaborative was founded in 2013. The Collaborative was founded by harvesters, dealers and processors to grow demand for Maine Lobster.
