Maine lobster prices have increased by an average of about $1 to $2 from last year because of  lower supply.
The Associated Press reported that retail prices for Maine lobster have reached the $6 or $8 per pound range. At the dock, lobstermen said, they are getting about $1 more per pound.
Lobsterman said supply is low right now because a majority of lobsters haven’t reached the legal harvesting size yet.
