Maine Mathematics and Science Alliance (MMSA)

2023 Goals

2021-2022 — Schools and Communities we partnered with across the state of Maine

MMSA’s 5-year strategic plan focuses on increasing equitable access to STEM education for ALL students PreK-12. As an organization, we are building capacity in diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice (DEIJ) strategies and partnerships to advance toward this goal. To achieve this overall goal throughout the coming year we are focusing our efforts on:

  • Working with teacher leaders to design integrated computer science learning opportunities K-12.
  • Building partnerships with BIPOC communities.
  • Expanding our reach from just over 1,000 educators per year to over 2,000 educators this coming year.
  • Increasing in-school science professional learning – doubling our capacity to meet the needs of school districts.
