2024 Goals
Part of MMSA’s vision is to prepare tomorrow’s workforce for careers in Maine and increase equitable access to STEM education for ALL preK-12 students. To achieve these goals, MMSA is focusing on:

1. Programming for neurodiverse learners, rural communities, and immigrant and BIPOC youth.
2. Collaborating with universities and businesses that do cutting-edge STEM research.
3. Scaling up computer science learning opportunities in K-12 and afterschool environments.
Fundraising events/Opportunities
Sponsor Maine’s youth STEM competitions: Sponsors of the Maine State Science Fair and Middle School Science & Engineering Fair will serve a key role in encouraging the next generation of scientists and STEM innovators to pursue their ambitions in high school and beyond. Each year, hundreds of students, community members, teachers and Maine businesses participate in the fair. Businesses may sponsor these high-profile events at the $15,000, $10,000 and $5,000 levels.
