Maine real estate summit to highlight projects, trends

Maine developers and builders will share insights on current and upcoming projects at the New England Real Estate Journal’s “Maine State of the Market” summit next week.

It will be held Wednesday, Aug. 12, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in South Portland.

Jennifer Small, a partner at Malone Commercial Brokers in Portland and president of the Maine Real Estate and Development Association, will kick off the event with keynote remarks at 8 a.m.

Two panel discussions, moderated by Michael Chase with Northmarq, a Minneapolis-based commercial real estate investment firm, and Malone broker Cheri Bonawitz, will focus on southern Maine developments.

John Laliberte, CEO of Portland-based Reveler Development and developer Michael Procopio, CEO of Middleton, Mass.-based Procopio Cos., will discuss the Ledger, a 200-unit luxury apartment development currently underway in Westbrook.

The second morning panel features Dan Bacon, principal with M&R Development, headquartered in Scarborough; Nick Laferriere, with Needham, Mass.-based Waterstone Properties, which is developing Rock Row in Westbrook; and Tyler Ferguson, CEO of Saco-based PM Construction Co., whose company has a range of projects under construction.

The event is slated to wrap up at 11:30 a.m.
