The Maine Association of Realtors Foundation said a donation of $362,000 will be made to 25 organizations that provide housing or fuel assistance to Maine residents in need.
Brokers and Maine real estate boards and councils raised $187,000 of that amount and the realtors foundation pledged another $175,000.
“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to match the funds raised by local Realtors, supporting individuals who live and work in our communities by helping them secure shelter and stay warm during the winter,” said Andrea Page, 2026 chair of the foundation and a broker with Keller Williams in Portland.

The Augusta-based realtors foundation established an affordable housing fund in 1991. The primary source of revenue for the fund is interest earnings paid by financial institutions on real estate trust accounts administered by the Maine Association of Realtors.
Organizations selected to receive grants include multiple offices for Habitat for Humanity; the Kennebec Valley Board of Realtors Fuel Assistance Fund; the Elizabeth Levinson Center in Bangor; the Opportunity Alliance, based in Portland; Rebuilding Together in the Lewiston/Auburn region; and Tedford Housing in Bath.
Since 1993, local association boards have raised over $2.2 million to address affordable housing needs throughout the state and the foundation has matched those dollars with an additional $1.9 million.
The Maine Association of Realtors Foundation’s mission is to support the development of housing and provide heating assistance for individuals and families with limited income.
