Maine: the way work should be

Shawn Moody, founder of Moody’s Auto Body, unveiled a plan for an incubator space on the former racetrack site in Gorham.

The Cooperative Workplace Campus will create incubator space for startups. Moody’s plans to offer help with financing, including venture capital, land leases and build-to-suit options.

Moody calls Gorham “one of the most desirable communities in Maine.”

Moody says the goal is to provide employment opportunities while contributing to the local tax base.

The property, acquired by Moody’s in August for $1.2 million, is a former racetrack and is near routes 114, 22 and 25.
