Atlantic Federal Credit Union, Maine’s largest credit union, has hired two leaders into key roles on its branch management team.

Gabe Michelson will take on the role of retail services manager at the Saco and Westbrook branches. He comes to the job with more than 15 years of experience, including leadership roles at M&T Bank, KeyBank, Bangor Savings Bank, Camden National Bank and Bank of America. He received his bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Southern Maine.
Dereck Archer has been appointed as branch manager in Topsham. He brings extensive experience in customer service and team leadership. He is a graduate of the University of Maine at Machias with a bachelor’s degree in English.

Atlantic has branches in Biddeford, Brunswick, Cumberland, Freeport, Saco, Sanford, Scarborough, South Sanford, Topsham, Westbrook and York.
With more than $1 billion in Maine deposits as of Sept. 30, 2024, Atlantic FCU topped the list of the largest Maine-based credit in the 2025 Mainebiz Book of Lists.
