MaineShare, a program of Maine Initiatives

2024 Goals

The MaineShare Campaign is about community. We believe that we can make Maine a more healthy, vibrant, just and equitable place for all Mainers. But it takes all of us. This is where you come in! Join us in working towards these GOALS:

Engage

MaineShare engages Maine-based employers and workplaces across the state to support grassroots and nonprofit organizations working in their communities. This year our goal is to DOUBLE the number of workplace partners: Maine-based employers making the MaineShare Campaign a part of their workplace culture. Join now!

Connect

MaineShare connects individuals and businesses to a growing network of forward-thinking Maine-based nonprofits working on social, economic and environmental justice in Maine communities. Help us reach our goal of 1,500 individual donors in 2023!

Support

MaineShare provides general operating support to a growing coalition of grassroots, community-based nonprofits working to make Maine more just and equitable. Last year, we surpassed our pledge goal, raising $309,170 in pledges in the 2022 campaign. Help us reach our 2023 goal of $325,000!

Giving Opportunities

The MaineShare Campaign is an opportunity for your business to engage and express your values and commitment to social, economic and environmental justice.

Every fall, the MaineShare Campaign works together with businesses like yours across the state to make it easy for its employees to learn about, connect with and support nonprofit and grassroots member organizations making sustainable change in Maine communities. Through the MaineShare Campaign, workplaces provide its employees the opportunity to make recurring payroll deductions (or one-time donations) to support MaineShare organizations. No business is too small or too large to participate, and through these giving campaigns MaineShare has raised over $6.8 million for our member organizations since our inception over 30 years ago.

Volunteer Opportunities

We know that there are many ways to give. For this reason, the MaineShare Campaign is also a great opportunity to develop relationships with Maine-based nonprofit organizations that can offer volunteer opportunities for your team members.
