Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co. of Springfield, Mass., has just opened a new office in South Portland with plans to hire up to 20 workers.
The office on Industry Road is the company’s first in Maine and will serve as its headquarters in the state, according to a spokesman for MassMutual. The company, which offers life, disability and long-term care insurance, plans to recruit up to 20 agents with a possibility for more, he said.
MassMutual has major offices in 41 states.
