ME to get $3.5M in federal flood relief

Maine will get $3.5 million in flood relief from the U.S. Department of Transportation after severe rains in the summer of 2012 washed out roads in Androscoggin, Cumberland, Oxford and Sagadahoc counties.

Sen. Susan Collins announced the award, which includes repairs to Route 136 in Durham, on Tuesday.

The emergency relief funds will be administered by the Maine Department of Transportation.
