MEREDA to host Bangor panel on navigating development challenges

The Maine Real Estate and Development Association’s upcoming Morning Menu program, “City Hall to Construction Site,” will feature city leaders from Bangor and Brewer, discussing how municipal partnerships can help developers move projects from concept to completion. 

“From navigating permitting to aligning infrastructure improvements and even leveraging Bangor’s Foreign Trade Zone, this panel will give an insider’s view of how local leadership can accelerate growth in the region,” said Shelly Clark, executive director of MEREDA.

Panelists will include Carollynn Lear, Bangor city manager; Eric Glidden, Brewer city manager; Biguita Hernandez-Smith, Bangor’s economic development officer; and Andy Hamilton, attorney at Katahdin Law.

Ben Sprague, vice president and senior lender at First National Bank in Bangor, will moderate the discussion.

The event will be Oct. 30, from 8:30 to 10 a.m., at Hollywood Casino in Bangor. Registration is required by Oct. 23.
