The U.S. Department of Agriculture will give the Mt. Abram ski area a $235,000 grant to install a solar energy system expected to generate 422 kilowatt-hours per year.
The project will include 869 photovoltaic panels. The USDA announced the grant Thursday as part of its Rural Energy for America Program.
