Stefanie Nadeau has been appointed director of the state’s Medicaid health insurance program, MaineCare.
Nadeau has been serving as acting director of MaineCare since February, replacing Anthony Marple, who was fired by the LePage administration in January, according to the Portland Press Herald. Nadeau has worked in the state’s Office of MaineCare Services for seven years, previously serving as director of program management.
Marple oversaw the $2.6 billion program for four years.
