Mayo Regional Hospital has named its new president and CEO. Edward Hannon will come to Maine from Boone, N.C., to lead the Dover-Foxcroft hospital.
The hospital’s board of directors yesterday selected Hannon among more than 100 applicants, according to the Bangor Daily News. Hannon has been a hospital executive for the last 20 years. Most recently, he’s served as president and CEO of McDowell Hospital in Marion, N.C., a 65-bed facility from which he resigned last year to pursue other opportunities.
He will succeed Ralph Gabarro, who will retire Oct. 31.
