The breweries, distilleries, outdoor concert space and ice rink of Portland’s Thompson’s Point will be joined by the inaugural Maine Flower Show next March, following an announcement by the Maine Landscape & Nursery Association.
The Portland Press Herald reports that in January the association said it would create its own annual event, separate from the Portland Flower Show, which was canceled this year.
The Maine Flower Show will be held next year from March 29 to April 2, 2017 at the former industrial area on the Fore River that has been a hotbed of redevelopment in recent years.
The event, which will be run by the Maine Landscape & Nursery Association, will be held in a 25,000-square-foot brick and a large, 13,000-square-foot heated tent that will feature a combined 20 display gardens and 120 exhibitors, according to the Press Herald.Â
