Erica Young joins the Maine utility after more than 25 years in the energy sector, with experience in operations, regulatory affairs and corporate strategy.
Former Canadian utility executive Erica Young started her tenure as president of Versant Power this month. She succeeds John Flynn, who recently retired.
Young started the role on May 1. She joins the Maine utility after more than 25 years in the energy sector, with experience in operations, regulatory affairs and corporate strategy.

Most recently, she served as ENMAX Energy's executive vice president. She also previously held the roles of chief legal, commercial and regulatory officer at ENMAX, where she oversaw government relations, public policy and corporate strategy.
Earlier in her career, she held senior leadership roles at NaturEner Energy Canada and Total Energy Services, including serving as general counsel.

Emera Maine changed its name to Versant Power in 2020 after the company was acquired by ENMAX for $1.3 billion. Versant is the state’s second-largest investor-owned electric transmission and distribution utility, delivering power to more than 160,000 customers in northern and eastern Maine.
