A new Wal-Mart Supercenter in Scarborough has added 200 new jobs to the area.
The 208,000-square-foot store, which opened yesterday, employs more than 450 people, according to the Associated Press. The new Supercenter on Gallery Boulevard replaces the town’s former Wal-Mart on Payne Road, according to Current Publishing.
“This is going to be good for Scarborough,” Harvey Rosenfeld, executive director of the Scarborough Economic Development Corp., told the news site.

I would say Rosenfield is not bright. How is a store that a Federal study shows typically costs the Town it is in over $421,000 per year a good thing for the Town? Crime, Unemployment, tax losses, empty real estate, low pay jobs. Yup, that’s good alright!
Our local police dept. says the walmart here costs them over $100K per year. One wonders how much walmart pays these shills to spew propaganda.
