New hires

Great Falls Construction in Gorham hired Jackson Swann as an estimator on the firm’s preconstruction and estimating team. Hurricane Island Outward Bound School, an organization in Camden focused on character education through outdoor expeditions, hired Joanna Benoit as development director. Most recently, Benoit served as grants, finance, and administration manager at FocusMaine. ConvenientMD Primary Care in Portland hired Monica Gambi Lado and Rebecca Zebo. Gambi Lado was previously a board-certified family nurse practitioner at HealthReach Community Health Centers while Zebo was a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist at MaineGeneral Health’s Physical Rehabilitation Unit at the Alfond Center for Health. Franklin Savings Bank in Farmington hired Dyan Richard as vice president, commercial loan officer. Civil Consultants New England, a subsidiary partner of Civilworks New England and a 100% employee-owned engineering firm, hired Michael Duffis as a structural engineer in its South Berwick office. Spinnaker Trust in Portland hired Sam Lundquist as a portfolio manager. Lundquist was previously with Fidelity Investments.

Portside Real Estate Group in Falmouth hired Heather Szela as a Realtor serving clients in central Maine. Biddeford Housing Authority hired Ryan Fecteau as executive director. Most recently, Fecteau served as senior advisor of development and planning at Avesta Housing. Fontaine Family, an Auburn real estate firm, hired Cheyenne Conner as an agent.

Promotions

Haley Ward Inc., an employee-owned professional engineering firm in Bangor, promoted Shawn Tobey to Northeast operations director. Tobey was previously southern Maine and New Hampshire land development manager. InterMed P.A., a physician-owned primary care and specialty practice in Portland, promoted John Colianni and Eric Sampson to shareholders. Colianni practices sports medicine while Sampson is an urgent care physician. Bar Harbor Bank & Trust promoted Heidi Sanders to treasury services officer. Sanders was previously a senior treasury support specialist.

CCB Inc., a general contractor in Westbrook, promoted Jeff Verreault to senior project manager and Antonio Giacomuzzi to project executive. Maine Community Bank in Portland promoted Marjorie McAvoy to vice president, merchant services sales manager; Kristina Therrien to cash management sales manager; Pam Reynolds to cash management senior sales officer; DeeDee Dusseault to cash management product and customer experience manager; and Barbie Wilson and Jazmine Duran to product officers. Golden Pond Wealth Management in Waterville promoted Alexis Bowman to financial advisor. The Maine Hospital Association in Augusta elected Nathan Howell, president and CEO of MaineGeneral Health, as chair of its board of directors. Patrick Taylor, CEO of York Hospital, will serve as chair-elect; Randy Clark, president of Northern Light C.A. Dean Hospital, Northern Light Mayo Hospital and Northern Light Sebasticook Valley Hospital, as treasurer; and Trampas Hutches, regional president, Mountain Region, MaineHealth, as secretary. WinterKids, a nonprofit in Westbrook dedicated to children’s health and outdoor winter learning, added Taylor Lee and Rory O’Brion to its board of directors. Lee is a senior sales manager at Sugarloaf Mountain while O’Brion is a licensed CPA and assurance director at BDO. Bangor Savings Bank announced that Vincent Veroneau will serve as the bank’s next board chair. Veroneau recently retired as president and CEO of Portland-based J.B. Brown & Sons. ClimateWork Maine selected Tripp Harrison, president and CEO of Goodwill Northern New England, to serve on its board of directors.

The Maine Bankers Association in Westbrook appointed Dan Walsh, president and CEO of Norway Savings Bank, as chair of its executive committee. The Atlantic Federal Credit Union Foundation in South Portland added Taryn Wentworth to its board of directors. Wentworth is the credit union’s commercial portfolio manager.

Achievements

NBT Bank in Portland was recognized with two “2026 Coalition Greenwich Awards” in Small Business Banking. In the U.S. Small Business Banking category, based on more than 11,000 interviews with businesses with annual sales of $1 million to $10 million across the U.S., the bank was named “Best Bank – Satisfaction with Relationship Manager for Small Business Banking in the U.S. (Northeast)” and “Best Bank – Satisfaction in Cash Management for Small Business Banking in the U.S. (Northeast).” Mid-Coast Board of Realtors said recipients of its “2026 Realtor of the Year” honors were Kim Rush, designated broker of the Christopher Group, as the “Acadia Council Realtor of the Year;” and Victoria Condon, broker/owner of Dwelling in Maine, as the “Pen Bay Council Realtor of the Year.” Legacy Properties Sotheby’s International Realty in Portland announced that RealTrends recognized Heather Shields as the top small team in Maine in its “2026 America’s Best Real Estate Professionals” rankings. In the “2026 Individuals by Volume” category, the firm also said it earned the No. 1 ranking in Maine and represented five of the Top 10 in the state. The University of Maine at Augusta announced that its Dental Hygiene, Dental Assisting and Expanded Functions Dental Assisting programs achieved 100% pass rates on their respective clinical, national and state board exams.
