Northeast Bank said today it has acquired another insurance agency — its seventh in little more than a year.
Northeast Bank Insurance Group, the bank’s insurance subsidiary, purchased Hyler Agency in Thomaston, which has three employees and roughly $2.4 million in premiums.
Northeast Bank is cultivating its insurance subsidiary to diversify its revenue streams and to offer its customers “one-stop shopping,” Jim Delamater, Northeast Bank’s president, recently told Mainebiz.
