Northern Light Mercy Hospital plans to expand access to primary and cardiovascular care with a new location at the Rock Row Health campus in Westbrook.
Services will include echocardiography and cardiac stress testing, offering access to coordinated care in one location.
“Our goal is to make care more accessible and better connected for the people we serve,” said Marie Vienneau, president of Northern Light Mercy Hospital.

“For many patients, especially those managing heart conditions, care doesn’t happen in just one place,” Vienneau added. “Bringing primary care and cardiology services together at Rock Row means fewer trips, better coordination and care that fits more easily into people’s lives.”
Northern Light Mercy Hospital has leased 10,400 square feet on the second floor of the Rock Row Health building. Clinical and space planning are underway, with a goal of opening the facility in 2027.
The location will add to the hospital’s existing patient care centers in Portland on Fore River Parkway, and in South Portland, Falmouth, Yarmouth, Gorham and Windham.
Northern Light’s Mercy facility in Portland is the state’s fifth-largest hospital, according to the 2026 Mainebiz’s Book of Lists. Northern Light also operates hospitals in Bangor, Ellsworth and Presque Isle.
Evolving campus
At Rock Row, the hospital will be joining an integrative care campus featuring a 200,000-square-foot medical building and a 20,000-square-foot health services facility, which opened in 2025.
The $140 million health campus is the medical anchor of the 110-acre, $600 million mixed-use development, which also includes retail, restaurant and service businesses. More development is in the pipeline.
The Northern Light Mercy Hospital lease was brokered by Mark Malone and Jennifer Small of Portland-based Malone Commercial Brokers.
