Lawmakers sent a wide-ranging energy bill to the governor’s desk after a 131-7 House vote Friday, according to the Bangor Daily News.
The omnibus energy bill proposes new state abilities to help expand natural gas infrastructure throughout the region, continued energy efficiency funding and new incentives for home and business owners to convert away from oil heat.
Gov. Paul LePage has not said whether he plans to veto the bill, but the vote margins in both the House and Senate indicate a veto could be overturned.
