Lynda Adams of Guided Love Connections s a certified matchmaker and relationship coach who offers a more personalized alternative to dating apps.
Lynda Adams of Guided Love Connections in Falmouth is a certified matchmaker and relationship coach with clients seeking long-term relationships. Mainebiz checked in with her to find out more about the business.
Mainebiz: What prompted your path from marketing and municipal work into coaching and matchmaking?
Lynda Adams: My professional strengths have always centered around service-oriented work and helping people build meaningful connections. Over time, I became increasingly drawn to personal growth and wellness, which led me to become a certified health and relationship coach. When the opportunity to become a matchmaker presented itself, it felt like a natural fit because it allowed me to combine strategy, coaching and personalized relationship guidance in a much more meaningful way.
MB: How would you describe the services you offer and who they’re designed for?
LA: I offer personalized matchmaking, relationship-dating coaching and an exclusive, private VIP database for singles who are serious about finding a long-term relationship. My services are designed for people who value privacy, efficiency and a more personalized alternative to dating apps.
MB: How much do you charge for your services?
LA: Rates range from $500 to $6,500 depending on the level of service.
MB: How does your approach differ from dating apps?
LA: Dating apps often encourage quick judgments based on photos and short profiles. My approach is far more personalized and relationship-focused. I take the time to truly get to know clients and make introductions based on compatibility, values, communication styles and lifestyle fit rather than surface-level impressions.
MB: Walk me through your matchmaking process — how does it work?
LA: We offer two primary programs. The first step begins with a virtual consultation where I learn about a client’s background, personality, relationship goals and preferences. After the consultation, clients are added to our private VIP database of eligible singles available to be matched to our high-end matchmaking clients. The next membership level is our 90-day matchmaking program, which includes guided virtual introductions and coaching support. Based on the consultation, I identify potential matches from our VIP database and facilitate virtual, personalized introductions based on mutual compatibility and interest.
MB: Who are your clients, in terms of age, geography and professional background?
LA: Most of my clients are in their 30s through 60s and located throughout southern Maine and southern New Hampshire, although I also work with people outside the region. They come from a wide range of backgrounds, including business executives, health care, skilled trades, education, hospitality, public service and entrepreneurship.
MB: What if any guarantees do you offer?
LA: We guarantee to create opportunities for people to learn about one another and discover their own connection naturally by providing a highly personalized, hands-on process. Because relationships involve two unique individuals, chemistry and outcomes naturally vary, but we’re deeply committed to helping clients build meaningful long-term relationships.
MB: How do you keep clients safe?
LA: Client privacy and safety are extremely important to me. I personally vet clients through consultations, maintain confidentiality, encourage video introductions before in-person meetings and remain involved throughout the process to provide support and accountability.
MB: How does coaching fit into the matchmaking process?
LA: Coaching helps clients improve communication, clarify relationship goals and recognize patterns that may be holding them back. Because I work closely with clients and personally know the people they are meeting, I’m able to provide guidance tailored to each individual situation.
MB: What have you learned about relationships from doing this work?
LA: Both through my own 23-year marriage and through this work, I’ve learned that successful relationships are built on much more than attraction or shared interests. Communication, self-awareness, emotional availability, mutual respect and aligned values tend to matter most for long-term compatibility.
MB: What’s next for your business and matchmaking more broadly?
LA: Guided Love Connections continues to grow as I meet an abundance of quality singles who are genuinely ready to find love. I look forward to continuing to expand throughout southern Maine and New Hampshire while growing my dating coaching services, personalized matchmaking programs and singles events to reach a broader audience.
