The Oxford-based MGA Cast Stone Inc. has invested around $500,000 in a new computerized cement mixer it says will double production capacity.
The Sun Journal reported that the company that moved to the former Oxford Homes plant 18 months ago has further expansion plans to hire four or five employees this spring. The company moved to Oxford with 15 employees and now has just over 30.
Gregg Hamann, the company’s vice president, told the paper that the new batch plant will expand the company’s architectural precast business and help to boost product lines he said have been on the back burner.
