2026 Goals

• Diversify the trades with our high-performance carpentry pre-apprenticeship program aimed at underrepresented individuals in Maine.

• Educate the existing workforce in Maine about high-performance building.

• Continue our work to advocate for high-performance and passive house building.

• Advance the visibility of building science with the opening of our new retail, workshop, and exhibition space in Freeport this Fall.

• Support and showcase the high-performance trades in Maine with our lectures, site walks, webinars, and community networking events.

Fundraising events/Opportunities

Event Sponsorships: We welcome your sponsorship of our annual events, including our Winter Forum in February and our Retrofit Symposium in September.

Organization Sponsorships: Support our work by becoming a sponsor and joining the community of passive house and high-performance professionals in Maine.

Membership: Businesses and individuals can join the phME community by becoming a member.

Volunteer Opportunities

Give the gift of your time by volunteering at one of our annual events, such as our Retrofit Symposium in September or our Winter Forum in February. We also need volunteers to assist us in managing our retail and exhibit space in Freeport.
