Portland aviation company plans $4.3M expansion

Portland aviation company MAC Air Group is planning a $4.35 million expansion at the Portland International Jetport.

The Forecaster reported that the Portland City Council has already approved the expansion, which will include a two-store, 13,000-square-foot office and a 29,000-square-foot hangar. It still requires approval by the South Portland Planning Board.

MAC Air Group President Allyn Caruso told the newspaper that the expansion will allow the company to create up to 15 jobs. In addition, it will also let the company consolidate its operations in Portsmouth, N.H., and Burlington, Vt., and allow it to service larger aircraft.
