Logically, a Portland-based IT provider formerly known as Winxnet, on Tuesday announced its fourth acquisition in as many months and its sixth overall. The company also promised more to come.
The latest deal is for Cerdant, a Dublin, Ohio-based managed security services provider serving more than 450 customers nationwide in sectors including retail and hospitality, education, government, health care and financial services.
Terms were not disclosed. Around 50 employees from the Ohio firm will join Logically, bringing the Portland firm’s workforce total to 370.
While Logically does not disclose its own revenue figures, it noted that Cerdant had revenues last year of $14 million and is on track for $17 million this year.
The Portland buyer acquired Danbury, Conn.-based Network Support Co. and Minneapolis, Minn.-based NG2 earlier this year, and Personal Computer Resources — a provider of outsourced IT services for businesses in eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island — last December.
All are part of a larger strategy to expand Logically’s geographic footprint in the United States.
“We’re passionate about staying on the cutting edge of security at Logically and offering our customers the confidence that comes with having the very best of it,” said Logically CEO Mike Cowles in Tuesday’s announcement.
“Bringing Cerdant into the fold brings our security expertise to the next level. This is a company that has been innovative in the security space for more than two decades. Logically’s customers will benefit from the institutional knowledge and experience that come along with the name.”
Cerdant founder Mike Johnson added that his company “couldn’t be happier” to be part of Logically’s expanded team “and to grow together.”
Logically also said it is actively seeking managed security service providers that are “culturally in sync” with its core values and allow faster, more efficient operation. “The company plans to continue its expansion in the coming months,” the announcement said.
