On Tuesday, the Portland Planning Board approved the construction of a six-story building that will include a 150-room AC Marriott Hotel, 4,000-square-feet of space for a restaurant or retail location and 16 condominiums on the city’s waterfront.
According to the Portland Press Herald the estimated $20 million project will be located at Fore, Hancock and Thames streets on a vacant lot between the Ocean Gateway garage and the Ocean Gateway terminal.
