The developer of the $85 million “midtown” project in Portland’s Bayside neighborhood has cleared another hurdle with city planners.
The Portland Press Herald reported that the Portland Planning Board approved final design changes for the residential and retail development in a 5-1 vote Tuesday.
Miami-based Federated Cos. made changes to the monolithic appearance of the project’s largest building in response to complaints by the board, whose members have asked the developer to change the “repetitive” nature of the building’s rooftop cornices. The developer said that won’t be a hindrance.
