A Safelite AutoGlass SuperCenter in Portland is expected to create 30 jobs when it opens by Oct. 1.
The 27,000-square-foot facility will stock frequently needed parts and hold six service bays in order to accommodate more customers with same- or next-day service.
Customers in Maine and New Hampshire who were previously served through Safelite’s mobile technicians and Boston-based warehouse, will now be able to use the 421 Warren Ave. location when it opens, according to a news release from Safelite.
“We look forward to continuing to serve the local community for all their auto glass repair and replacement needs,” Larry Gallagher, who was hired to serve as the district manager, said in a statement.
Founded in 1947, Columbus, Ohio-based Safelite has 550 U.S. locations..
