The Maine Public Utilities Commission launches its series of public hearings at the University of Maine at Fort Kent tomorrow evening to discuss FairPoint Communications’ proposed $2.7 billion deal for Verizon’s telephone lines in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. The meeting is the first of three scheduled in Fort Kent, Bangor and Portland.
