Bangor-based property management company R&K Construction has announced plans for the former Pine Tree Inn plot located just outside of downtown Bangor after purchasing the location from the city last summer.
The Bangor Daily news reported that the 25,000-square-foot property located at 22 Clevent St. Â will maintain the Pine Tree Inn moniker and will become a 42-unit extended stay hotel featuring kitchenettes and full baths intended for visiting business professionals.
As part of the agreement with the city, the property management company has agreed to invest $900,000 in the property in addition to the city’s $10,000 purchase price. The planned opening date for the newly renovated location is October. Â
