After nearly two decades at 96 Main St. in Yarmouth, Rosemont Market & Bakery is moving across the street, giving the neighborhood market more room to grow.
The move is planned for early 2027, when Rosemont will relocate to 108 Main St., the former Fiore Home space.
The new store will have 6,836 square feet of retail space and on-site parking, giving Rosemont more than 50% more retail space than the current location.
Joe and Luke Malone of Malone Commercial Brokers represented Rosemont and Emily Theriault of Portside Real Estate Group represented the Landlord.
The market will remain open through the move. Rosemont said it will announce the exact opening day for the new location in the coming weeks.
What's coming to the new store
The larger location will give Rosemont more room for local produce, Rosemont-made prepared foods, fresh bread and pastries, as well as meats, cheese and wine.
"Yarmouth was one of our first markets, and this community has supported us for almost 20 years," said John Naylor, owner of Rosemont Market & Bakery. "We love being a part of the community. We simply outgrew our space, and we're lucky that the answer turned out to be right across the street."
Mark Law, Rosemont's CEO, said the move will allow the company to grow while remaining in the Yarmouth community.
"When 108 Main St. became available, it felt like the best of both worlds: room to grow, without leaving the neighborhood and community we’re deeply committed to," said Law. "It's about as convenient and ideal as a move can get."
About Rosemont
Rosemont opened its Yarmouth market in 2006 and as its second location. The company was founded in Portland in 2005 and has stores in Cape Elizabeth, Portland, Scarborough and Falmouth. The Brighton Avenue location in Portland is in the Rosemont neighborhood.
Rosemont is a family-owned neighborhood grocer that works with Maine farmers, fishermen and food producers. More than 60% of its sales come from locally grown and locally made products, according to the company.
